Use this tool, when a standard straight edge cannot be used.
How to use the R-Gauge:
- Place the legs of the R-Gauge against the points of the shoe being measured.
- Then lean the tool against the stake.
- Shine a light from the opposite side and and look for an unbroken beam of light between the stake and the R-Gauge at the second bar of the tool.
- If you see an unbroken beam of light, it is a ringer.
- If the top of the R-Gauge does not touch the stake, it is not a ringer.
